Some days leave us filled with all of the beauty and hope of the world; other days steal our energy and laugh at us when we fall down. Thankfully, the earth doesn’t laugh at me so often anymore, but I tend to laugh at myself more.
In 2010, I took a break from the “real world” (aka marketing job in Chicago) with a summer gig in Yellowstone National Park. I figured I would take the summer to discover who I was and what I wanted to be. As it would turn out, I fell in love with the breath-taking beauty, fresh mountain air, and the fellow who would become my future husband. Needless to say, I never left.
We now reside in the small town of West Yellowstone, at the park’s west entrance. We are blessed with an amazing baby girl named Ella O (aka Bug), a hound named Charlie and a cat named Rupert. We are trying to figure out how to best enjoy the mountains that we call home. This will document our journey as we experience the joys and stumbles of finding our happiness.
